Rio Grande Hospital – before replacement

The original Rio Grande Hospital was built in 1955 (shown here). By the early 2000s, the hospital was functionally obsolete. Together with Rio Grande, Charles Ervin (now with Dougherty Mortgage), and HLM Design, The Neenan Company pioneered the financing of this replacement hospital
through the HUD 242 program. It became the first critical access hospital in the nation to open utilizing this Federal guaranteed mortgage loan
program.
