I am looking to buy a new construction home. The builder was only able to sell less than half his lots in the last couple of years and the remaining lots are still empty. The houses that were sold so far are for around 800K and the new houses are also offered for about the same price. I have read on this forum that they typically dont like to reduce prices as they would have to reduce the price on the remaining lots as well in such a case. They are custom luxury homes and as such has most of the upgrades and any more upgrades may not really be much more bang for the buck or really useful upgrades. In such a scenario what is the best way to negotiate? Appreciate your comments.
